Sweeter Earthy Grass Tasting Green TeaThis arrived as shown and as described with no defects. The presentation is nice. The tea itself is powder in a sealed bag inside the canister. So, everything was nice and fresh, but a hint misleading to look at, as the canister is medium-sized and the actual tea really is only 1.5 ounces. I took a star off because even though I know what I'm paying for, it seems a tad overpriced at 18-20 dollars. I'm planning on trying other bulk buy matcha teas and adding in charcoal, or having this be more of a specialty buy.I was looking for gentle ways to cleanse the body. Like, taking oregano for awhile, cilantro, drinking aloe juice, dandelion tea, and so on for a month-long once yearly body detox. Wormwood and black walnut, for instance, would be an example of a harsher natural detox people only do if they suspect they have parasites. America is one of a few countries, that does not really focus on the importance of body detoxing. We take water safety and cleaner food standards for granted. And yet, so many people deal with gas or irritable bowel issues or constant mild illnesses which start in the gut. I haven't had any recent health issues, but I like to give my body a break every once and awhile focusing more on soups, bone broth, and drink cleanses. This tea did seem like a gentle way to get things moving and I like that it's less caffeine than coffee which often leaves me with jitters and urgent bathroom calls or weird coffee body odor. Charcoal, on the other hand, is a natural deodorizer.This tea tasted as I expected and does seem quality. I like it with a little milk and honey as other reviewers mentioned. I put a whole teaspoon in a giant oversized mug and didn't consider it too potent or unpalatable.4Flavor is so weak :(I ve been drinking Republic of Teas tea for at least 20 years and they re always so flavors and sometimes too strong if you let it steep too long. I used to get a Guyaki Chocolate Yerba Mate- it was so good and now you can t find it anywhere I was so pumped I found RoT was making it! But then shocked at how weak the flavor is! You need at least two bags per cup and I leave them in to steep the whole time I drink it. Kind of sad for the price.3The Tea that helps the body with various illnesses in a cup!!I saw this product on the 'Doctor Oz' program. I recently had a cancerous (left) kidney removed! I liked what Doctor Oz implied on certain cancers!! The taste is not to great but not as bitter than regular coffee!! If this Tea is that good on cancer then I am going to try! The price for this Tea is not too Great compare to having cancer! Of course, I am eating less sugar and salt when I can!! The exercise of the body isn't left out either!! I drink a cup in the morning and at night!! Hopefully this Tea will help me with any Cancer?5Great tea companyThis tea has taken some getting use to. I do enjoy a strong tea but this is my first time trying machta. Nice flavor, again, for me, it has taken some adjusting. I am changing a cup of coffee for this in the morning now and I like it much better than coffee.4Hopeless Romantic Approved Coffee AlternativeAs a certified hopeless romantic brat I have tried dozens of different matcha teas from the nasty Chinese cheap junk to a fresh cup in Japan I rely on this brand for my daily cup. As far as the value goes, it is a decent price for the quality I wish they sold them at $17 a can year round because I need about 2 cans a month to replace coffee. If you are able to use matcha with some organic whole milk in the morning and an iced matcha in the afternoon, it effectively destroys the craving for coffeeThis matcha blends well, has a beautiful colour and gives a nice frothy cup straight to my soul. I followed the instruction to a T or should I say Tea? lol I got fresh hot filtered water 6oz from my Keurig and steeped for lil over 7 mins and squeezed the tea bag (instruction says to and for 7 mins). Aroma of this Double Dark Chocolate Mate is funky...kinda like stale funky vinegar water with dark chocolate smell...the taste is bland....like a warm water downed drink you left in your car (from an ice cold drink that melted)...maybe I'm just not a fan of roasted Yerba or Yucka (yucky) ... at least it ain't bitter tea. You can make this tea using Yerba and cocoa powder for dirt cheap...just saying.1Best Green Tea Ever!!!I lost my taste for green tea when I had a few brands that were bitter and left a bad taste in my mouth, almost like an alum-like film. Recently I began hearing how great green tea is for you and I decided to indulge my health over the negative taste and aftertaste. I reluctantly ordered the Republic of Tea Double Green Matcha based on the reviews and was somewhat skeptical when it arrived. 'No way 50 tea bags could be in that canister!' But they were...50 little round pillows of tea in all the glorious powder of the matcha! I thought I had ruined my first cup when I set a 3 minute timer to steep before removing the bag and got busy, promptly forgetting it for another 5 minutes or so. Anyway, I stirred, removed the bag and took a sip. It was smooth and tasty, no bitterness, just great flavor. I now drink one or two cups every day and probably will drink even more as soon as the cooler weather comes. I LOVE this tea!5Where is the Matcha?OK green tea but I was paying for Matcha green tea. Read reviews and answered questions but this is not what I was expecting. Inflated reviews is becoming the norm. Can not find the Matcha powder I was expecting. Description is not accurate. Purchased on sale but not satisfied with product or price. Nice container, tea is light green, the color of olive oil, not mild bittersweet taste.Where is the Matcha powder? Will try to return.2Surprisingly good!I ordered this tea because my regular brand was not available on amazon...I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and aroma. I found it "grassy" but not bitter. I may steep it a bit longer next time....The Ito-En I steeped for only 30 seconds and it was fine...This may need a full minute as the container suggests. I will also try it cold brewed with two tea bags and see if it stands up to ice.....Nice tea4Nice chocolate flavor but not sweet, at all.I was pleasantly surprised, I'm a big mate fan. I put 2 tea bags in a cup because it seemed a little weak with just one also added a dash of plain almond milk no added sugar. I like that there's no bitterness that you sometimes get from mate. Nice in the morning or as an occasional afternoon pick me up. Highly recommend. But better price on republic of tea website 5
