So far so good...It's been 4 weeks and in conjunction with taking these pills twice a day (every once in a while it's once), I've also removed dairy from my diet. My skin is pretty stubborn (mostly the cystic acne and scars on chest and back, right before I bought these pills I got a huge cystic pimple on my wrist... odd but yes). I tend to flare up more around my cycle due to hormones. So in the last few weeks my skin has attempted to grow some smaller cyst-ish type acne but it gets defeated and doesn't fully grow and goes away. I've had like 2 attempts on my back and one on my chin. I usually get one gigantic one per month so last month was great. I will come back again to update my progress. :) So far so good. Overall, my skin (my face specifically) literally looks SO MUCH BETTER. I've been using the same skincare regimen for a while but with the addition of these pills, I can tell the texture and pores of my skin has improved. 5SINUS ISSUES ARE GONE!!! AND MY SKIN IS FABULOUSI started taking this product for my acne. After reading reviews on how it cleared reviewers skin I figured why not. BUT little did I know this would work wonders on my sinis issues. I am a chronic sinus sufferer. From sinus pain, congestion, headaches, infections. I get it all. I take 1 tablet a day and I'm not kidding you no more sinus pain, congestion, headaches, not a single infection all year long. I stop taking it for 3 days and out of nowhere the sinus issues resurfaced. I hope this review helps someone with similar issues. It a sinus miracle worker hopefully it works for you as well. 5THIS CURED MY CYSTIC ACNE IN 3 WEEKS!!!This is the only thing that cured my terrible cystic acne. I ve tried acutane, curology, and rodan and fields. None of them worked. Then I started taking one pill a day. In the first two weeks I stopped breaking out. Now it s been two months and Ive gotten only small pimple during my PMS last month and that s it. Definitely recommend if you feel like you have incurable acne! I personally had no side effects though I ve heard some people have gotten stomach cramps before. 5I struggle with acne and this is 90% of the ...I struggle with acne and this is 90% of the reason why my skin cleared up!! This will help with acne and no dairy or sugar! 5Speeds up healing time for cold sores.My girlfriend, who has struggled with cold sores her entire life, randomly woke up with one forming on Friday the 21st after not having one for a few years. She came across this product after researching that a diet high in lysine can keep cold sore outbreaks at bay. The product was received on the 22nd. After taking a tablet once a day since receiving and honestly missing a dose or two, the sore is in its last stages (currently cracking/bleeding stage, but never formed the blister and busted.) It normally takes 3 weeks for her cold sores to disappear with scabbing happening the last week. She highly recommends to anyone who feels a cold sore coming on. However, if you are petite, (GF weighs about 110) I'd refrain from taking it on an empty stomach as it made her sick. 5Great For Digestion, But Not An Acne MiracleThis stuff is great. I had E. Coli a couple years ago, and after that + antibiotics, my digestive system has been really out of whack. For instance, I couldn't eat dairy products anymore without having a severe stomach ache. :( I heard about this product because I also suffer from acne, which gets worse when my digestion is off. Apparently this is an amino acid that is produced naturally in our bodies, but adult acne sufferers are usually low on!The pills are pretty large but I've never had trouble with them. Took them twice a day for the first month, then went down to every night before bed. This has DEFINITELY helped me digestion issues (I can eat dairy again!! But only as a treat, because it's not great for ya anyway) and uh... well, let's just say I'm regular again. I'm not sure yet how much it has helped my skin, though. I definitely don't get cysts anymore, but I do still get whiteheads. Since my acne is linked to a lot of different things besides digestion (hormones, stress, allergies) I can at least say it didn't make it any worse. So, to me, this is a supplement I recommend for inside issues, just not outside ones. 5MIRACLE IN A JARThis product is nothing short of a magic pill! I woke up three days ago with what appeared to be a cold sore forming on my upper lip (I have never had one so I wasn't completely sure -- didn't have the tell-tale tingly feeling, just some small bumps forming). I immediately ordered lysine after reading so many wonderful reviews/doing some quick research on how it helps to repair tissue. I took one tablet almost every waking hour from the time they arrived at 4pm two days ago (so 4 tabs day before yesterday, and 8 tabs yesterday). I woke up this morning with NOTHING! NADA! Like it never happened. My lips had also been quite dry no matter how much water I drank, and when I woke up they were soft and hydrated. I will continue to take this product at the recommended dose just to make sure whatever it was is gone, but I cannot believe how well L-Lysine works!I now believe the spot on my lips to be a type of dermatitis, not a cold sore...the reason for all of this information is to say that it isn't just for cold/canker sores, but it helps knock out any "mouth ailment". I always have great luck with Solgar products, and I love that this is formulated without any weird/questionable additives and comes in a tinted glass jar. I am someone who has a difficult time swallowing pills, and yes this one is large, but I have had zero issues taking this. Buy this miracle product...I am so thankful I did! 5Skin changerI've been consistently taking one pill per day for the last four months and have noticed a significant improvement in my skin. I've had less frequent acne, any pimples I do get heal three times faster than they ever have before, and the overall appearance of my skin has evened out and just looks so much healthier. Been using in since June 4th & I already had reduced PIH & my melasma has faded (kids! Lol) If u have active breakouts, post breakout marking & scars or other skin issues u need to give this a try. Since it is an amino acid (protien building block) it jelps form collagen & elastin, this benefits our skin, even aging, we lose the ability to form those 2 things quickly & as well over time so we get wrinkles & lines & sagging. I can't wait 2 see the next few weeks! I would love 2 recommend this 2 my clients but I'm not a dr or dietician, so i can just give them my story & say "ask a Dr" which everyone should do before jumping into supplements. L-lysine also helps the absorption of calcium & iron, provides support for our immune system & tests have seen benefits to hormonal regulation, this could be another great benefit to hormonal acne. I will update if i breakout terribly, it stops working, or I have other side effects (i also use Vitex for progesterone regulation, & spearmint capsules to help eliminate free testosterone that can cause the acne by stimulating oil gland to produce more, it clogs pores & gives p. Acnes the anaerobic environ. it loves to feed& thrive, stop the oil production & acne stops too (hence y acutane is successful) ok, these are my thoughts & experience & hope it helps someone else out there. Acne can be stressful, cause anxiety, depression & loss of self-esteem...however, acne or none...u r beautiful!! 5
